WONDERFUL ANTIQUE BOHEMIAN ART GLASS FINGER BOWL, GREEN CRAQUELLE / OVERSHOT

This listing is for a wonderful antique Bohemian Art Glass finger bowl in green glass known as Craquelle or Overshot glass, c.  late 1800's.
Measures  3 3/4" high with a top diameter of 4 1/2".
This stunning bowl has beautiful green coloration with the finish of finely crushed ice. This glass has been popular since the mid-19th Century and was produced by having a gather of molten glass rolled in finely crushed glass to produce the rough exterior finish. The piece was then blown into the desired size and shape. The finished piece has the frosted or ice finish that is sometimes called "ice glass".  Early producers called the glass "Craquelle" although this glass is categorized as Overshot glass. This glass is produced using an entirely different process than the generic category of "crackle" glass.

is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
