Handsome vtg mountain dulcimer (made of beautiful wormy wood), could be described as galax, definitely elliptical 5 string Appalachian. A strong 36" long and about 3" deep. VSL about 26.5 Has tuners for six strings but slots for five. Currently strung with 5. Some wear commensurate with age the instrument which I indicated by pointing in the pictures. There is a scratch on the headstock-- it is not a crack. One of the edges is chipped, and a tiny bit at the bottom. I tried to point out the minor flaws. Nothing that affects the play of the instrument. The pictures make it look darker than it is. The picture with the weeping heart wound hold best shows its hue. Inside it says the year is 1985 and #10. I can’t make out the name, might be Bolz, might be Dale thanks for lookng! You pay shipping; I pay insurance.
