Chocolate Bon Bon shade of hair w/spit curl
Barbie is wearing "Movie Date" #933 (1962-1963). Dress is sleeveless blue and white-striped dress with a sheer organdy over-skirt. No tears or open seams! The black & white Barbie tag is very good with almost no fraying. The dress could use a very light cleaning & the bottom snap could use an added stitch.
Barbie's luxurious & full hair is a lovely dark chocolate brown with the forehead spit curl, as pictured. Her face paint looks complete and bright. There is a faded place on her left forehead, very light. She had eyelashes, but it looks like someone had trimmed them.
Barbie's head is a darker tone than the rest of her, which is common in the early dolls. The top part of both of her arms are a darker color, I can only assume this occurred during storage. Her fingernail polish matches her lipstick, although the left hand has less polish than the right hand.
Barbie's manufacturing information is stamped on her backside. Both of her knees click and hold twice. Both of her legs could use some additional light cleaning. Her right foot has a tear at the heel and both feet have chew marks (See photos #8 & #9).
I have added a pair of vintage, white Japan marked open-toe heels
(both shoes stay on her feet) & a vintage clear Mattel "X" Stand.
