Valley Forge Military Academy button Saco back mark. WWI era button

Here is a Valley Forge Military Academy button . In doing research this was made by the Saco Co who were located in Maine. They have been listed as a Woolen company but I am finding they made the machines that milled the wool, silk and cotton. Thus being the reason that this button has their marking. Many button makers of the time only made one run of buttons and then ceased. I have found that in past research. Look at the pictures. This button measures 1". Nice button to put in your collection. It is from a very old Private collection.
