    Description

    This auction is for a rare enamel over copper mid century modern necklace, marked with an Evans hang tag.  Evans was famous for their fabulous enameled compacts.  This necklace has six large puffy metal sections, almost puffy heart shaped, decorated with beautiful enamel in taupe with amber enamel cabochons and a larger center design in the amber.  The metal has "bumps" that are highlighted with some gilt.  Several of the enameled pieces have some chipping to the enamel from age and use, but such a rare necklace that I'm not sure it makes a lot of difference.  Tried to photograph a couple that have some chipping or wear.  Each of the enameled pieces dangled from one end from the necklace chain.  Incredibly unique!  The enameled puffy "hearts" measure 1 1/2" from end to end and about 1 2/16" from side to side at the widest point.  The chain is about 16 1/2" in total length.  I am selling as is because of the chipping I mentioned, but a seriously beautiful rare necklace!
