I am not a professional dealer or reseller. All of the items that I sell on eBay are from my personal possessions, which I inherited or bought over the years. Besides simply enjoying the pre-auction research, as my hobby, eBay auctions are a way for me to get my good stuff into the hands of those who appreciate them.I am always happy to combine the shipping expense, for winners of multiple auctions, as I am not trying to make money on shipping.
NO INTERNATIONAL BIDDING. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING.
For your consideration, you are Bidding (with
NO RESERVE
, beyond the minimum starting bid) on My Very Rare Mutoscope Picture Reel
No. 7046, Serial No. 1
, (from the
International Mutoscope Reel Company, New York City, USA),
Featuring Babe Ruth Batting and Boxing. The pictures on the reel show The Bambino taking practice swings in his pinstripe uniform and sparing in black trunks with an unknown fighter. (Note: Recent research found one person saying the other fighter was Artie McGawen, a trainer for Jack Dempsey. But, I couldn't confirm that.). I found an old auction photo of a mutoscope that was being sold with a sign advertising it had the reel showing Babe Ruth batting and boxing (See Picture #3). In between the change from batting and boxing, there's close-up pictures of the Babe's face. The reel certainly shows signs of age and use, but it still has life to produce an exciting show. Laying on its side, this measure 10.5" Across x 3.25" Deep.
This weighs 5.5-Pounds, without counting additional for overpackaging.
Shipping includes tracking, insurance and Signature Receipt Service).
Hopefully, from the pictures and my description, you can fully appreciate what is being offered here.
