First I would like to say I am not very knowledgeable about Musical Instruments. So please bear with me if I get something incorrect. Throw me a message if you have any questions or if I need to correct something in the listing. Up for sale is a Vintage Handmade 12/11 Hammered Dulcimer that came as a kit in the early 1980's. The story I received from the family I bought it from is the Uncle was a musician. In 1984 he sent the Hammered Dulcimer to his Niece as a Christmas present. The uncle had received the kit previously and assembled the kit then shipped it to his niece. The niece never played it. It's never been used as you can see in the pictures.
Kept in pristine condition in the boxes all these years. Includes all the Hammers and case pictured, music books, Kit Instructions, Tuner and everything pictured in the listing. Note on the back there was an original repair where the wood must have had a tiny chip that needed mending. This is shown in picture #10. Not noticeable at all when playing. Also included are the original box shipped to the uncle from whoever produced the kit and the box the uncle used to ship it to the niece. All with provenance on the boxes from shipping including an attached receipt from November 1984. Figured the history should go to the New owner so they know its past and the names of the previous owners will be on the boxes from shipping. This has never been played and will more than likely require tuning and possibly work. It is being sold As-Is so please check the pictures for exact item condition. V
intage Hammered Dulcimers are better quality then newer versions and preferred by those who play them. You wont find a better example. This is probably the only one you will find on Ebay in this condition and quality. Perfect to last you a long time. Please ensure this is the Dulcimer you need before purchasing as I do not accept returns on items for wrong size or the changing of mind on purchasing the item.
