1.  "Here's HOWE the First 100 Years" tells the history of Howe Military School in Howe, Indiana.  It was written by Raymond R Kelly.  The book is not dated inside, but the school dates back to 1884, so I added 100 and got 1984.   It is a large hardcover book measuring 9x12.5 inches with 377 pages.  No writing inside, no ripped/missing pages, and no dog-eared corners.  It is in nice condition, but does have some edge wear and the corners are dinged.  The back cover is dirty, but I didn't try to clean it up.  The outside edges of the pages are dirty/have age spots.This book begins with 1884 and tells the story of Francis Marie Glidden Howe and her Grammar School.  There was an Indian tepee on a site later known as the Vicarage, which made Mrs. Howe uneasy. The book is full of b/w historical photos.  There are pictures of sports teams, past leaders, buildings on the campus, and various functions on campus.  There are lists of those who served in the military, class presidents, Battalion commanders, school records, and alumni by year.
2.  "Howe Military School Alumni Directory:  It is from 1984.  It is the Centennial Edition, as the school in Howe, Indiana dates back to 1884.  It is a hardcover book measuring 6.25x9" inches with 113 pages plus a few pages in the back for notes.  No writing inside, no ripped/missing pages, and no dog-eared corners.  It is in nice condition.  The is some edge wear from being on the shelf.  The corners are dinged and worn, showing the boards beneath.  This book begins with a history of the school, has a message from the Superintendent, and then lists the alumni.  They are listed alphabetically, by class year, and geographically.
I would be glad to check if you or a loved one is in the books.  They are a very nice keepsake and would make a great gift.
I got these books from an alumnus and don't think it was made available to the general public.
