    Description

    An antique silverplate Lazy Susan turntable drugstore pharmacy bottle display.   Has engraved advertisement for Gladstone's Celery and Pepsin.  Gladstone's was manufactured by Mastico Medicine Co., a small drug company in Danville, Illinois.  Producing patent medicines, Mastico employed from 3-10 people during the late 1890s.The silverplate was made by Toothill and McBean Silver Company.  They were located in Kokomo, Indiana, from 1897-1899, and in Ottawa, Illinois, from 1899-1900.These historical facts suggest that this item was made about the turn of the twentieth century.  The piece measures about 10 inches in diameter and stands about 3-1/2 inches tall.  There is one center holder about 3-3/8 inches diameter, surrounded by 6 smaller holders about 2-1/4 inches in diameter.  Table spins on a center spindle.  CONDITION: No cracks or breaks. Item is tarnished and may require polishing.  Otherwise very good original condition.
