French Epinette - (Dulcimer) Well constructed 7 String Hard Case

Description

The Epinette is one of several variations of stringed instruments that were developed or modified in various parts of Europe, primarily.
Some had numerous strings, as harps.
Others had only 3-4 strings, with some being fretted, and some used for droning.
I purchased this one in London. But I never did learn to play it. I was still learning to play the many fretted dulcimers that I had in my collection.
There is no mark of identification as to who the builder was, but it was surely an accomplished artisan, as it is very fine workmanship.
I refer to it as a French Epinette, as there is the Fleur-de-lis on the wall of the instrument.
