Czech Large Art Deco Black Yellow Tango Glass Footed Compote Bowl Czechoslovakia

Description

Stunning black and marigold yellow Art Deco compote or pedestal bowl. Large; measures 10 1/4” x 6” tall.  Acid etch mark “Czechoslovakia” on base. This piece is in excellent condition.  No chips, cracks or repairs. There is minor evidence of wear - a bunch of tiny fleabites or roughness to the sharp edges of the base, the worst area is pictured. (There is one lighter spot on the bottom inside edge of the base that looks like a small chip, but it is completely flat - might be a bubble or area of differently-colored glass.) I see minor manufacturing irregularities (shown as some small blobs of glass on the bottom of the base; looks like water droplets), a slight “bleed” of the yellow and black glass on the edge (this is not a chip or crack). I’ve seen this type of piece referred to as cased glass, tango and Kralik, but it is only marked Czechoslovakia.
