A Phonendoscope is a tool with nearly identical functions to a stethoscope but a more sophisticated construction. The invention of Russian surgeon N.S. Korotkova led to the appearance of the contemporary Phonendoscope.
This device's design incorporates a component like a membrane that improves the audibility of sound waves in order to auscultate internal organs. It is possible to hear high sound tones with the use of a Phonendoscope.
