This book of shadows is an interpretation of the Hocus Pocus grimoire, paired with the Practical Magic book’s ‘secret section’, Double binding (two books in one!)
The cover features 6 hands reaching from the spine ribs (which extend to the back as well). Red waxed hemp stitching. A blue acrylic eye, and coiled snake corners.
The back and inner book’s cover are also adorned with stitches and snake corners.
The book can be secured using the leather closure, and can be locked using a small to medium pad lock.
It contains 550 pages of blank aged Parchment in the main section, with 5 attached ribbon page markers. The reverse section has 175 pages of aged Vellum paper, with three attached page markers.
All pages have aged .925 silver gilding on the edge.
It is done in post-screw binding, which allows you to remove* and rearrange pages if desired (instructions will be provided).
*the middle ‘floating’ end leaf is slightly rigid, so that the top section slides closed properly = it should not be removed.
The end leaves are handmade in Italy; chosen to continue the ‘creepy’ feel through the book.
It is made from ethically sourced, archival quality materials, and is meant withstand being passed on to future generations.
This book is meant to look aged, and is made completely by hand, from natural materials. For these reasons it is sold as is.
