Antique Belding Silk Wooden Oak Spool Chest Cabinet 2 Drawer Storage Chest
This Two Drawer Spool Cabinet was crafted in the Late 19th Century by Belding's Silk.
believe it may be Tiger oak
The Cabinet is made of solid oak (tiger oak?)with a drastic grain shown throughout.
This cabinet is rich in age & the drawers each have dovetailing.
The finish is a deep gold oak & shows blemishes from age but nothing notable.
The hand painted letters are block and contrasts nicely creating a wonderful cabinet.
Each drawer is hand paned & includes an aged brass center drawer pull , the drawers open and close as they should.
there were 2 spools in this cabinet which will come with the cabinet.
The cabinet is exceptionally sturdy and very well made, the sides of the drawers shows early dovetails

It is a perfect cabinet or small chest that can tuck anywhere.  it is a wonderful piece.
