    Description

Antique CITADEL 1842 Brass Stamping CADET PIN or SWORD CHARLESTON SC * MC Lilley
From the archives of MC Lilley, this listing is for an antique brass stamping that depicts the early 19th Century emblem of the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.  The oval emblem has dimensions ⅝” x ⅞” and was stamped on a brass sheet with slightly larger dimensions.  The condition is VF to Excellent with an old patina, but there are tiny green spots.  These spots will polish away if desired.  The location of the spots will vary but all the ones I am offering are comparable to the scanned image.   I have a small quantity of these New Old Stock stampings (possibly the only ones left in the World) and there is a slight variation in the size of the brass sheet.  The emblem could be cleaned and polished - I chose to leave it in the condition it was found in the archives.   Please look at all the photos & scans and ask any questions.  See my other listings.  Free shipping is included for USA buyers.
