    Description

Handcrafted in the Mississippi River town of Muscatine, Iowa, it's a Songbird hammered dulcimer. The model is a Whippoorwill. According the the inside label, it was built in November 1997. It's a 16/15 double-course instrument.
At its longest, it's 42" long by about 19" wide.
It was never played much, so is still in fine condition. There is some ordinary age and play wear, notably some scuffs on the back, but looks good. It has all its strings. No hammers or tuning wrench. It will be de-tuned for shipping.
Structurally, it's in great shape. No cracks or anything like that. The top and back are flamed mahogany.
It's a fine All-American instrument. Who needs a hammered dulcimer?
