    1997 Folkcraft FSHW dulcimer 2769
    Here is a 4-string dulcimer from Folkcraft Instruments, Winsted, CT.
    Folkcraft, along with McSpadden, are the largest dulcimer makers in the US; it was founded in 1974.
    Solid walnut top & body, geared tuners. Marked “FSHW 2769. 3/10/97”. Length, 36”; VSL, 26.5”.
    A fine dulcimer, good tone—with the modern 6 1/2 and 13 1/2 frets. Can take loop or ball end strings.
    Recently strung this with three strings only: the nut and bridge have notches to accommodate a number of different string configurations. (I am including an extra .012 D string + new string set.)
