This Sterling Silver Proof coin was dedicated to 200th Anniversary of Founding of City of Alajuela (1782-1992)
The reverse of the coin features the bust of Gregorio José Ramírez y Castro, a Costa Rican politician, merchant and marine who was most notable for being the 2nd General Commander of Arms of Costa Rica from April 5 to April 16, 1823; while the obverse depicts National Coat of Arms
(!) This coin is extremely rare - only 10,000 coins have been minted
