1980 Olympic Stamp Collection. This collection is complete including all stamps and associated materials in mint condition, plus some
additional materials included by the seller to augment the collection. The materials are in excellent condition.
The Stamps of Historic Olympic cities in the two books are Athens, Paris, St Louis, London 1908, Antwerp, Amsterdam 1928, Berlin, Los Angeles, Paris, London 1948, Helsinki, Melbourne, Tokyo, Mexico City, Munich, Montreal, Moscow.
The Stamps of Cities from the Moscow Olympics included are Moscow, Tallinn, Leningrad, Suzdal, Ivanovo, Vladimir, Zagorsk, Pereslavl, Rostov, Yaroslavl, Tblisi, Yerevan, Tashkent, Samarkand, Kiev, Minsk. Some are listed more than once.
The Stamps of Sports listed are 5,000-meter race, hurdling, high jumping, sport walking, long jumping, pole vaulting, discus, javelin, hammer, shot put, Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling, boxing, judo, weightlifting, cycling, archery, shooting, equestrian sports, fencing, swimming, diving, water polo, kayak rowing, canoe rowing, star class sailing, soling class sailing, 470 class sailing, Finn class sailing, Flying Dutchman Class sailing, parallel bars, free-style gymnastics, balance beam, horizontal bar, uneven bars, association football, basketball, volleyball, grass hockey, handball, running.
There are 800 sports stamps. There are 480 Russian city stamps. Totaling 1,280 sports and Russian city stamps.
Only 7,500 copies of this stamp collection were ever issued.
